Brazee Glass Design is a female-owned and operated studio led by Sandra Gross and Leah Busch Rockel. Sandra and Leah, along with their talented team of designers and fabricators, are drawn to discover new ways of communicating through glass, including collaborating with clients to translate their vision into art that shares symbolism and meaning.
Team Brazee believes strongly in making a positive impact in our community, our shared spaces, and in our world. They are continually driven to explore new forms of expression through glass that uplift and enliven our surroundings and ourselves.
Glassroom was created by the team at Brazee Studios in Cincinnati, OH. Brazee is recognized nationally for its groundbreaking glass curriculum for children, starting at age 3, and offers a comprehensive range of instruction for adults of all levels. Glassroom seeks to share the joy of glass art with everyone both locally and nationally.
We have been hard at work making sure our practices are as low-waste and sustainable as possible. Eco-conscious packaging was a key component in developing our Glass Kits! Our studio is dedicated to preserving the natural environment, and thoughtfully reducing our impact on it. We operate out of a LEED Silver Certified, fully renovated 21,000 sq foot green building. Our rooftop features a 33.5kW Solyndra photovoltaic solar panel system, the first of its kind in Ohio. In the surrounding landscape, Brazee features a monarch butterfly conservation waystation, a bioswale rain garden to receive and absorb stormwater runoff, and a garden full of native plants and prairie grasses specific to our neighborhood.
We also have 25+ art studios at Brazee for professionals working in paint, sculpture, photography, printmaking, paper, glass, jewelry, and more.
